CONNECTS EVERY DRIVE
i.
Plug it in
Insert Dashnova into your car's USB port — the same one you'd normally use for wired CarPlay or Android Auto. Use the included USB-to-USB-C adapter if your port type differs, and the extender cable if the port is tucked out of reach.
Tip — If your car has more than one USB port, use the one marked with a phone or CarPlay icon. Data-only ports won't work.
ii.
Let it boot
Start your car. Your factory screen will switch to CarPlay or Android Auto, then show the Dashnova interface as the device powers up. The first boot takes about 15–30 seconds — after that it's near-instant.
iii.
Pair your phone
On your phone, turn on Bluetooth and connect to Dashnova when it appears. Accept the pairing prompt on both the phone and the car screen. This links wireless CarPlay / Android Auto and only needs to be done once.
Tip — iPhone: Settings → Bluetooth. Android: Settings → Connected devices. Keep the screen on until pairing finishes.
iv.
Get it online
To use the streaming apps, connect Dashnova to the internet via your phone's hotspot or any available Wi-Fi. In the Dashnova settings, open Wi-Fi, pick your hotspot or network, and enter the password. It remembers the network for next time.
Tip — Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work without internet. You only need Wi-Fi/hotspot for streaming apps like Netflix and YouTube.
v.
Sign in & stream
Open any app and sign in with the streaming accounts you already have — Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Spotify, DAZN and more. No extra subscription, no new accounts. From now on, Dashnova connects automatically every time you start the car.
If something's not right.
The screen stays black or doesn't switch +
Make sure you're using the USB port that supports CarPlay/Android Auto (look for the phone or CarPlay icon). Try the included adapter and unplug/replug the device. Give it up to 30 seconds on first boot.
Pairing won't complete +
Turn Bluetooth off and back on, forget any old "Dashnova" entry in your phone's Bluetooth list, then try again. Keep the phone unlocked and the car screen on during pairing.
Streaming apps won't load +
This is almost always the internet connection. Check that your phone's hotspot is on and that Dashnova is connected to it in the Wi-Fi settings. A weak mobile signal will also affect streaming quality.
It disconnects while driving +
Confirm the USB cable/adapter is fully seated — a loose connection is the usual cause. If you're streaming, a dropping hotspot signal can also interrupt it. Wireless CarPlay itself should stay stable.
It's slow or laggy +
Close apps you're not using and make sure you're on the 5 GHz hotspot band where possible. Performance also depends on your phone's data speed in that area.
